It framed the guideline for five Science departments \u2014 physics, <a href=\"https:\/\/timesofindia.indiatimes.com\/topic\/chemistry\" styleobj=\"[object Object]\" class=\"\" data-ga=\"within_article-topic_link|topic_chemistry\" frmappuse=\"1\">chemistry<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/timesofindia.indiatimes.com\/topic\/mathematics\" styleobj=\"[object Object]\" class=\"\" data-ga=\"within_article-topic_link|topic_mathematics\" frmappuse=\"1\">mathematics<\/a>, geography and geology. The formulae will be <a href=\"https:\/\/timesofindia.indiatimes.com\/topic\/applicable\" styleobj=\"[object Object]\" class=\"\" data-ga=\"within_article-topic_link|topic_applicable\" frmappuse=\"1\">applicable<\/a> for students from the <a href=\"https:\/\/timesofindia.indiatimes.com\/topic\/West-Bengal-Higher-Secondary-Council\" styleobj=\"[object Object]\" class=\"\" data-ga=\"within_article-topic_link|topic_West-Bengal-Higher-Secondary-Council\" frmappuse=\"1\">West Bengal Higher Secondary Council<\/a> while for the other boards admission criteria remains the same as that of last year. <br \/>The proposed formulae for <a href=\"https:\/\/timesofindia.indiatimes.com\/india\/west-bengal\" styleobj=\"[object Object]\" class=\"\" data-ga=\"within_article-topic_link|topic_https:\/\/timesofindia.indiatimes.com\/india\/west-bengal\" frmappuse=\"1\">West Bengal<\/a> Board students for physics, for instance, will be mathematics marks in HS x 2 + physical science x 2 in Madhyamik and the total will be calculated out of 400.
