{"id":14927,"date":"2020-08-14T06:57:17","date_gmt":"2020-08-14T06:57:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bengalnewstimes.com\/?p=14927"},"modified":"2020-08-14T06:57:17","modified_gmt":"2020-08-14T06:57:17","slug":"jk-police-examining-evidence-in-the-alleged-fake-encounter-case","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bengalnewstimes.com\/?p=14927","title":{"rendered":"J&#038;K Police examining evidence in the alleged fake encounter case"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div id=\"the-post\">\n<div class=\"featured-area\">\n<div class=\"featured-area-inner\">\n<figure class=\"single-featured-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"780\" height=\"470\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.siasat.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/ENCOUNTER_Gun-Shot-780x470.jpg\" class=\"attachment-jannah-image-post size-jannah-image-post wp-post-image\" alt=\"Gun Shot\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"entry-content entry clearfix\">\n<p><strong>Srinagar:<\/strong>\u00a0Police said on Thursday it has deputed a team headed by a Deputy Superintendent of Police to complete all legal and technical formalities into the disappearance of three persons belonging to Jammu and Kashmir\u2019s Rajouri district.<\/p>\n<p>Vijay Kumar, IGP (Kashmir) told reporters that a team headed by a DSP rank officer has been deputed to Rajouri to complete all legal and technical formalities about the disappearance of three persons belonging to Rajouri district.<\/p>\n<p>Families of the three persons have lodged a missing report, which says the three missing persons have been killed in a fake encounter in the Amshipora village of Shopian district.<\/p>\n<p>The family members have said three of their kin had come to Shopian to work as manual labourers and after their mobile phones were found switched off for several days, the anxious family members came to Shopian to find the whereabouts of the three missing persons.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Rajouri families filed a missing report and since then we are trying to evaluate the case through all technical shreds of evidence.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cWe have taken the DNA samples of three terrorists\u201d<\/strong> killed in Shopian encounter which will be sent to the central lab to ascertain facts.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cBesides matching the DNA samples it is being investigated whether these three persons who had come from Rajouri were in contact with local militants are not.
