\n\tThe low-cost carrier SpiceJet <\/a>will be conducting an Airbus A340 aircraft for cargo operations to destinations like Europe, Africa and CIS region. On Sensex, the airline’s stock ended at Rs50.40 per piece up 1.82%.<\/p>\n

Ajay Singh, Chairman SpiceJet said: “Very soon, an Indian carrier will be proudly operating non-stop cargo services across the globe to destinations in Europe, Africa and CIS countries which till a few months back would have been unthinkable,” reported by The Times of India.<\/p>\n

Airbus A340 aircraft would be the ninth addition by SpiceJet as it has already dedicated eight freighter fleets comprising of five Boeing 737s and three Bombardier Q-400s.<\/p>\n

In general terms, a wet lease is defined as an arrangement between a lessor who provides the aircraft along with the complete crew, maintenance and insurance to another airline. The latter pays by hours for using the aircraft.<\/p>\n

Earlier in June 2020, the airline informed that it has secured slots at London Heathrow Airport to operate flights effective September 1, 2020. This is presently under the bubble arrangement between India and UK and effective up to end of summer schedule i.e. October 23, 2020.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
