The S&amp;P BSE Sensex index plunged over from its day&#8217;s highest level recorded in morning deals.<\/p>\n<p>The Sensex traded at 38,884, down 583 points and the Nifty was down 202 points at 11,444.<\/p>\n<p>According to the media, the report said that the Chinese troops &#8220;carried out provocative military movements to change the status quo&#8221; near Pangong Tso lake on Saturday night but they were blocked by Indian soldiers.<\/p>\n<p>Selling pressure was visible across sectors, as nine of 11 sector gauges compiled by the NSE traded lower in the afternoon trade, with the Nifty Media index among top laggards, down more than 3%. Followed by banking, auto, financial services, metal, pharma, capital goods and real estate shares also witnessed selling pressure.<\/p>\n<p>Adani Green Energy, AstraZeneca Pharma India, Mindtree and Timken India stocks hit their 52-week highs on BSE.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, European markets have opened with gains with the Stoxx 600 was up 0.4% higher led by Oil &amp; Gas along with Chemical
