UN Women and WHO are publishing the RESPECT implementation package for preventing violence against women. This implementation package comprises\u00a0of a suite of practical resources and tools to support the implementation of the\u00a0RESPECT women: preventing violence against women framework<\/a>,\u00a0which was developed by WHO, with UN Women, in
\n 2019 and is endorsed by 12 other UN agencies and bilateral partners.<\/p>\n

The RESPECT implementation package<\/strong><\/a> <\/strong>is aimed at helping policy makers and practitioners
\n to design and implement evidence-based, ethical and effective national and sub-national, policies, programmes and interventions for preventing violence against women based on each of the seven strategies <\/strong>of RESPECT.<\/p>\n

  2. E<\/strong>mpowerment of women<\/a><\/li>\n
  3. S<\/strong>ervices ensured<\/a><\/li>\n
  4. P<\/strong>overty reduced<\/a><\/li>\n
  5. E<\/strong>nvironments made safe<\/a><\/li>\n
  6. C<\/strong>hild and adolescent abuse prevented<\/a><\/li>\n
  7. T<\/strong>ransformed attitudes, beliefs and norms<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    It distills programming knowledge based on existing and up-to-date global evidence.\u00a0 It is divided into a series of standalone materials, which include:<\/p>\n

    The package is presented in a user-friendly design to cater to the busy schedules of policy makers, enabling easy access and reference to relevant materials. It can be used as a resource to support policy dialogues or as a capacity building tool.\u00a0It
    \n can be used in its entirety or as individual strategy and programme summaries.    <\/p>\n
