The authors sought to characterize global exposure to fine particulates based on satellite data and calculated the anthropogenic fraction using an atmospheric chemistry model. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.medicinenet.com\/wuhan_coronavirus_2019-ncov_symptoms_and_signs\/symptoms.htm\" onclick=\"wmdTrack('embd-lnk');\" rel=\"sym\">COVID-19<\/a> mortality was determined using U.S. and Chinese epidemiological data.<\/p>\n<p>The researchers found that particulate air pollution contributed to approximately 15 percent of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.medicinenet.com\/wuhan_coronavirus_2019-ncov\/article.htm\" rel=\"dt\" onclick=\"wmdTrack('embd-lnk');\">COVID-19<\/a> mortality worldwide (27 percent in East Asia, 19 percent in Europe, and 17 percent in North America).
