Health is a human right, and tactics learned from the human rights movement can help ensure every person access to the highest standard of sexual and reproductive health.\u00a0<\/h3>\n

WHO, HRP\u00a0and partners present a new documentary series about the power of people to change the world.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n

Every individual on the planet has the right to the highest standard of health and well-being in all aspects of their sexuality, their body and their reproductive choices \u2013 but there is no \u2018one size fits all\u2019 strategy for making
\n this a\u00a0reality.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Right To A Better World<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0is a documentary video series\u00a0produced by WHO and HRP, in partnership with\u00a0UN\u00a0Human Rights\u00a0(OHCHR) and the Oxford Human Rights Hub (OxHRH).\u00a0It explores\u00a0how\u00a0tactics
\n developed by the\u00a0human rights\u00a0movement\u00a0can be used to\u00a0achieve\u00a0sexual and reproductive health rights, and drive meaningful\u00a0progress towards the fulfillment of the\u00a02030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cA human rights-based approach to health is essential to achieving my top priority as DG \u2013 universal health coverage<\/strong>,\u201d\u00a0said WHO Director-General<\/a>\u00a0Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, when he signed\u00a0the 2017\u00a0WHO-OHCHR Framework of Cooperation<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Right\u00a0To\u00a0A Better<\/em> World<\/em>\u00a0builds on this\u00a0major milestone for health and human rights, affirming that\u00a0rights holders and their experiences\u00a0belong\u00a0at the\u00a0centre\u00a0of every discussion and decision
\n affecting them.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThe achievement of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development hinges on the realization of human rights, which necessitates action across sectors and disciplines,\u201d\u00a0said\u00a0Veronica\u00a0Birga, Chief of Women’s Human Rights and
\n Gender Section of UN Human Rights. \u201cThe lessons in this series created through a multi-disciplinary partnership are invaluable and make it clear that securing rights for all, is not only the right way, but the smart way to achieve truly
\n sustainable development.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\u00a0maternal mortality and morbidity<\/a>
\n , and\u00a0violence against women<\/a>

\u201cThe \u201cRight to a Better World\u201d series bridge the communicative divide between health and human rights practitioners, throwing the spotlight on the importance of addressing not only health outcomes but the underlying gender inequalities,
\n stereotypes and structures,\u201d adds Dr Meghan Campbell, Deputy Director at\u00a0OxHRH.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Although health outcomes and the achievement of rights have improved for many across these core components of sexual and reproductive health, progress overall\u00a0remains fragile and uneven<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

In each episode across the series, experts in health and human rights share their professional struggles and successes working on the frontline of communities worldwide.\u00a0As advocates and activists, they\u00a0represent a\u00a0broad range of professional
\n fields, ages, levels and backgrounds.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The episodes can be watched at home, in groups and in classroom settings. Viewers are encouraged to\u00a0learn from\u00a0the experiences\u00a0shared,\u00a0and\u00a0consider how tactics could be adapted to their own contexts.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
