As part of the changes, the Tata Nexon EV gets the new 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels that were previously introduced on the ICE-powered Nexon earlier this year. On the inside, the automaker has removed the six physical buttons and two knobs for the infotainment system on the dashboard. This has been completely done away with and that space now gets a panel with the ‘Nexon’ name spelt out in chrome.

Also Read: Tata Nexon With New Diamond-Cut Alloy Wheels Begins Arriving At Dealerships

The buttons were shortcut keys to different music controls including home, favourites, previous, next, smartphone, and back. The rotor knobs controlled the volume and radio tuner. With the buttons removed, all these functions can be access via the 7-inch touchscreen unit and were always integrated into the system. Previously, Tata Motors had removed the buttons from the Altroz and the ICE-Nexon as well. Do note, the same infotainment system is used in either vehicle.

On the inside, the automaker has removed the six physical buttons and two knobs for the infotainment system on the dashboard.

This will be a little disappointing to those who like the touch and feel of buttons, which is also less distracting when driving. However, it does make for a cleaner look on the dashboard. The Nexon EV also comes with steering-mounted controls for adjusting audio and switching between radio channels, so you can still adjust the settings from there.

Also Read: Tata Nexon Achieves New Production Milestone With The Roll Out Of 2,00,000th Unit

Barring these changes, the Tata Nexon EV continues to use the same hardware. The electric SUV draws power from an electric motor that produces 127 bhp and 245 Nm of peak torque and is powered by a 30.2 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. 0-100 kmph on the car comes up 9.9 seconds while the company claims a range of 312 km on a single charge.
