\u201cAs per the government\u2019s notification the bank approved Partha Pratim Sengupta, deputy managing director, State bank of India<\/a>, as MD & CEO with effect from the date of assumption\u201d, said IOB in a regulatory exchange.<\/p>\n Sengupta took over this designation from the former MD & CEO, Karnam Sekar, who retired on his superannuation on June 30, 2020.<\/p>\n Besides the post of deputy managing director of SBI<\/a>, Sengupta was the former chief general manager of SBI at Kolkata Circle. Prior to this, he was also the general manager at SBI\u2019s mid corporate regional office in Pune.<\/p>\n Having an experience of more than 3 decades in the banking<\/a> sector, Sengupta served in various capabilities at different geographical locations and has first-hand experience in both retail banking and corporate banking.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
