KOLKATA: Lalbazar on Friday has announced an extension of the relaxed bicycle policy till August 31.
The policy had been introduced on June 9 following the instructions of chief minister Mamata Banerjee to allow people to ride bicycles while going for work — which is a cheaper option to maintain social distancing. TOI had reported on Friday that a decision on this line has already been taken by the Kolkata Police top brass. However, restrictions will continue on the main arterial roads, flyovers and other areas notified by the police.
