HDFC Bank has been awarded ‘Great Place to Work’ certification by Great Place to Work Institute. The certification is the result of an anonymous employee survey conducted by the third-party global authority on recognising high-trust and performance culture at workplaces.

“This certification is a resounding verdict by 94% of our employees. It is indeed humbling and I would like to thank every employee of the bank for reposing their faith in the organisation. This certification is a resounding verdict by 94% of our employees. It is indeed humbling and I would like to thank every employee of the bank for reposing their faith in the organisation,” said Vinay Razdan, CHRO, HDFC Bank, adding that the bank stands on a rich legacy of exceptional customer trust, built over the last two and half decades. This is not an accident but the result of extraordinary effort by every employee who served with engagement and conviction over the years under the iconic leadership of Aditya Puri.

A nation-wide survey was conducted across its offices and 5000+ branches and more than 94% of the eligible employees participated and scored the bank on five key parameters. It is 1 of just 4 mega companies with an employee base of over 50,000 to be certified, the report mentioned.

The lender said that it was the only Indian bank to have been felicitated with this recognition that acknowledged its commitment towards fostering a culture of camaraderie, fairness, respect, pride, and credibility amongst its employees.

Great Place To Work Institute audits a company’s human resource practices and policies and its methodology is considered the Gold Standard for defining workplaces across businesses, academia and government organisations. All participating organisations undergo a rigorous assessment. HDFC Bank participated in the survey for the first time in 2020 and is the only bank to be certified in the BFSI category in India.
