Wockhardt loss widens to ~Rs226cr in Q1FY21


Quarterly Results

Wockhardt Limited announced its quarterly results on August 29, 2020. Consolidated net revenue in Q1FY21 stood at Rs598.27cr, which declined by 17.55% yoy from Rs725.58cr in Q1FY20.      

EBITDA stood at negative Rs72.05cr in Q1FY21 that increased by 17912.5% yoy. For Q1FY20, it posted EBITDA of negative Rs0.4cr. EBITDA margin as of Q1FY21 was at negative 12.04% that declined by 11.98% yoy against the same quarter, the previous year.      

The consolidated net loss from continuing operations in Q1FY21 came in at Rs225.58cr that increased by 258.92% yoy, as compared to Q1FY20, when it reported consolidated net loss from continuing operations of Rs62.85cr. The net profit margin in Q1FY21 came in at negative 37.71% that declined by 29.05% yoy. The net profit margin for Q1FY20 was at negative 8.66%. The net profit for the period attributable to equity shareholders in Q1FY21 is Rs760.06cr as against Rs44.98cr for the same quarter, previous year.

On Friday, the share closed at Rs329 with gains of 0.67% on BSE.
