ভারত-পাক সীমান্তে কাঁটাতারের সামনে বিস্তীর্ণ জমিতে একটা সময় চাষবাস হত। কিন্তু সীমান্তে উত্তেজনা বাড়ার সঙ্গে সঙ্গে ভারতীয় কৃষকদের নিরাপত্তার কথা ভেবে সেইসব জমিতে চাষবাস বন্ধ করার নির্দেশ দিতে বাধ্য হয়েছিল প্রশাসন।
