Actress Kangana Ranaut recently gave an explosive interview to a national news channel. The actress spoke about a range of topics including nepotism, favouritism, treatment of outsiders in the Hindi film industry. She also took names of several celebrities and accused them of running the ‘Bollywood Mafia’.

In her interview, Kangana termed Swara Bhasker and Taapsee Pannu as ‘B-Grade’ actresses.Soon after Taapsee gave an interview to a daily where she said that that she refuses to be bitter about her struggles and would not use Sushant Singh Rajput’s death for her personal vendetta. While some appreciated Taapsee for speaking up, some criticised the actress and she responded to several Twitter users. Swara also used the platform to express their views on remarks made by Kangana.

However, film director Nikkhil Advani took to his Twitter handle and said that women who have made it in the industry should stand together and fight for important things. “In an industry which is misogynistic, gender biased and sometimes quite murky the important thing for Women who have made it (insiders/outsiders) to do is to STICK TOGETHER. Need to stop all this tamasha and fight for the important things. #EqualCredit #EqualPay #justsaying,” he wrote.
