AU Small Finance Bank Q1FY21 results; net profit increases by 5.5% yoy


Quarterly Results

AU Small Finance Bank announced its quarterly results on July 23, 2020. The bank recorded total income of Rs1,409.91cr in Q1FY21, which increased by 20.7% yoy to Rs1,168.33cr in Q1FY20. Net interest income (NII) stood at Rs515.85cr that registered a growth of 30.4% yoy, as against Rs395.57cr it had reported in Q1FY20. Operating profit for Q1FY21 stood at Rs445.59cr, which increased by 53.2% yoy, as against Rs290.84cr in Q1FY20.

Provisions and contingencies increased by 475.1% yoy to Rs181.25cr in Q1FY21, as against Rs31.51cr in Q1FY20.

Profit after tax stood at Rs200.81cr for Q1FY20, which witnessed a growth of 5.5% yoy, as compared to Rs 190.32cr it had reported in Q1FY20.

Gross NPA in Q1FY21 stood at Rs447.12cr witnessing a decline of 2.3% qoq. Net NPA in Q1FY21 came in at Rs163.18cr witnessing a decline of 24.9% qoq.

Gross NPA(%) stood at 1.7% in Q1FY21 with a growth of 2bps qoq, as against 1.68% in Q4FY20. Net NPA (%) stood at 0.6% in Q1FY21 as against 0.81% in Q4FY20 registering a decline of 19bps qoq. Capital adequacy ratio (%) stood at 21.72% in Q1FY21, as against 21.99% in Q4FY20 with a decline of 27bps qoq.

The share closed at Rs756.75 with gains of 4.82% on BSE.
