Singer-MP- Actor Babul Supriyo, who went into isolation after meeting Amit Shah, who is COVID-19 positive, has tested negative. On August 2, as reported by Calcutta times, Babul wrote on his Twitter handle: “I had met Honble HM Shri @AmitShah ji day before in the evening • I am advised by Doctors to confine myself, away from my family members, for the next few days with a test to be done soon • Shall abide with all precautionary measures as per Rules & Protocol #COVID19 #AmitShah”(sic). Babul later told CT that, “I have shifted to my office room and I will get my test done on Monday. But I am completely fine but there are many who are asymptomatic now so I need to be sure by doing the test.”
On Wednesday morning the union minister posted on his social media handle: Was pretty Positive that my test result is going 2bNegative, It is. What happens next is a little confusing. One renowned Doctor says I am good to go out of quarantine while the more experienced & renowned of them all says I need to stay in for 7 days since I came in close proximity to an individual who has tested positive, do another test after the conclusion of that 7 days & then decide. It’s a little bit of grey area..and it puts me u a fix cuz of my eldery Mum Dad & the little one!! (sic)
