BSF jawan shoots dead two colleagues in West Bengal | Kolkata News

RAIGANJ: A BSF jawan opened fire on two colleagues at Raigunj area of North Dinajpur district on Tuesday and killed two of them. The man had surrendered according to Raigunj police.
The incident happened around 8am, when the jawan suddenly started firing and killed Mahinder Singh Bhatti and Anuj Kumar. Later he surrendered to police. The reason of firing is still unclear.The incident happened near Maldakhand area.
Movement of border villagers were restricted soon after the incident. The two killed were declared brought dead at a local hospital while police are verifying the reason of killing the two. The psychological condition of jawan is also being looked into.
SP Sumit Kumar said that the jawan who opened firing is being questioned. He had certain grievances and if it was out grudge is yet to be established. Kumar said Bhatti was an inspector while Anuj Kumar is a constable. The bodies had been sent for autopsy and their families were informed.
