
Procter & Gamble (P&G) Hygiene and Health Care Ltd. announced today its financial results for the fiscal and quarter ended June 30, 2020. Business operations were severely disrupted across the country following the nation-wide lockdown imposed to contain the spread of COVID-19.
In this unprecedented environment, the company delivered a resilient performance in the fiscal with sales of Rs3,002cr, up 2% vs. a year ago and Profit After Tax (PAT) of Rs433cr, up 3% vs. a year ago.
For the quarter ended June 30, 2020, the company delivered sales of Rs635cr, flat vs year ago.
The stock ended at Rs10,257.90 up by Rs124.85 or 1.23% from its previous closing of Rs10,133.05 on the BSE.
The Profit After Tax (PAT) of Rs69cr, up 14% vs. year ago largely behind lower tax rates and a one-time hurt in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
The directors have recommended a final dividend of Rs105/- per equity share for the Financial Year ended June 30, 2020, subject to the approval of Shareholders of the company at the ensuing 56th Annual General Meeting.
