Dalmia Bharat’s net profit plunges by ~89% yoy inQ4FY20

Dalmia Bharat Limited announced its quarterly results on June 13, 2020. Net sales in Q4FY20 stood at Rs2,483cr, which declined by 12.63% yoy from Rs2,842cr in Q4FY19. 

EBITDA stood at Rs488cr in Q4FY20 that decreased by 27.38% yoy. For Q4FY19, it posted EBITDA of Rs672cr. EBITDA margin as of Q4FY20 was at 19.65% that declined by 4% yoy. 

The consolidated net profit in Q4FY20 came in at Rs26cr that declined by 88.6%, as compared to Q4FY19 when it reported Rs228cr. The net profit margin in Q4FY20 stood at 1.05% with a contraction of 6.97% yoy. The net profit margin for Q4FY19 was at 8.02%.

The Group’s operations were impacted in the month of March 2020, due to temporary shutdown of all plants following nationwide lockdown by the Government of India due to COVID-19 pandemic.
