West Bengal Corona News: Howrah cop dies of Covid-19 | Kolkata News

HOWRAH: A 48-year-old sub-inspector of Chatterjeehat police station under Howrah police commissionerate died of Covid-19 on Tuesday.
The deceased, Goutam Pattanayak, had fever seven days ago and he was being treated at a private hospital in Kolkata.
“Pattanayak had fever seven days ago and was admitted in a private nursing home where he was tested negative nine times. After being discharged from the nursing home, he had gone back to his home at Tamluk in east Midnapore. Three days ago, he again fell ill and was admitted to a nursing home at Tamluk,”said a police officer.
As his condition worsened, he was transferred to a private hospital in Kolkata on the same day. He tested positive and died on Tuesday morning,” added the officer.
